Miner Memorial Library Trustees Meeting

 Draft Minutes December 12, 2011

Call to order: The meeting was called to order, by Chair Jim Beard at 6:58 pm

Trustees present: Jim Beard, Bob Cilley, Emily Fairweather, Susan Lichty and Janice Baker

Secretary’s report: The minutes of the November 14^th meeting were accepted as presented.  Motion to accept by Emily, second by Bob.  All in favor.

Treasurer’s report:    No report this month

Director’s report:

New vacuum was purchased, along with a new phone.

There will be a Christmas party for the afterschool kids on Wednesday, Dec. 21 @ 3pm

A policy for overdue books is still being initiated and will be ready in January, 2012.

New business:

It was voted to have the hallway cabinet put out for closed bids on the day of the Cabin Fever Book Sale.

Old Business:

Received an estimate for roof repairs of  $5900., to include stripping off old shingles, re-sheath roof over boards, new drip-edge, ice, water guards, and new eves with 30 yr. shingles.

We discussed trustee terms and possibly meeting less than once a month.  Motion made by Bob, second by Jim to start meeting bimonthly, on the third Wednesday with the January meeting and moving up the meeting time to 6pm.  All in favor.

Adjournment:  

The next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 @ 6pm.  The meeting was adjourned @ 7:59  pm.
